More than just books!

Books are the first thing that come to mind when most people hear the word "library". Our video and DVD collection is also well used but we offer the community more than that! We have an excellent book on disk collection for kids. These are great for long car trips or to help kids practice their reading by following along in the actual book. We have been developing our Easy books on disc collection where kids can pick picture books that have a CD in the back with the text being read. We also have a wide variety of kids' magazines including the very popular Discovery Girls, American Girl Magazine and National Geographic Kids. We have music CDs of kid's music and computer games to check out including most of the same games that are on our popular game computers. We now have 4 parent internets that parents can log onto while they are with young children in the department and we recently upgraded our wireless internet to give the childrens' department a stronger wireless signal if you'd like to bring your laptop. We also have leveled readers like the schools use for beginning readers along with our excellent easy to read collection.
