Ready, Set, Start Summer Reading

School is not quite out for most kids but you can already sign up for the summer reading program at the Children's Question Desk. The theme this year is A Midsummer Knight's Read. Signing up just takes a few minutes and once you've read 10 books bring your log up to the Children's Question Desk anytime after July 1 to pick out a free book and food coupons from area businesses. If you continue to read, for every 5 additional books you read past your first 10 you can put your name in the raffle where we draw names for larger prizes at the end of the summer.
Kids who read over the summer have been proven to maintain the gains they made during the school year compared to kids who do not continue to read over the summer.--Rachel V.
