Scare Up a Good Book!

In keeping with our theme for the summer reading program of "Scare Up a Good Book" and for our young patrons who enjoy a goosebump or two, Shih-Mei and I just completed a new book list of scary books.




Animal lovers might enjoy The Underneath by Kathi Appelt about an abused dog who befriends and then tries to protect a mother cat and kittens from his cruel owner.

If short stories is more to your liking try out Invasion of the Road Weenies and Other Warped and Creepy Tales by David Lubar. Don't let the silly title and cover fool you - these tales are very creepy.
